AFTER ESTROGEN

The Movement for Women Living in the Aftermath of Hormone-Reactive Breast Cancer.

We're not done, ladies.

Life after hormone-reactive breast cancer doesn’t come with a guidebook, so we’re writing one together.

For every woman navigating hormone blockers, body changes, emotional aftershocks, and the slow rebuild of self, this is the space where truth replaces silence.

Why We're Here

For too long, survivorship has been treated like a finish line, but for women with hormone-reactive breast cancer, it’s only the start of another chapter.

After Estrogen is the unfiltered, un-pretty, unspoken side of hormone-reactive breast cancer. It’s the part no one talks about: what it means to live without estrogen, when you’re not old enough for menopause, and not ready to lose what it gave you. This isn’t a pity party. It’s a firestorm of honesty, identity, and connection. We’re building a community that speaks the truth about the after, and shows up for each other in it.

How We Got Here
It's about more than the cancer diagnosis.

Survival was only the beginning. Living without estrogen is its own fight that requires more endurance than we ever realized; five to ten years (or longer) of endocrine therapy is one hell of an ultra marathon. Hormone blockers don’t get to define our ending, not anymore.

After Estrogen was created for women living in the quiet aftermath of hormone-reactive breast cancer, the years when treatment ends, but the side effects, the identity shifts, and the unanswered questions don’t. Founded by Angie Brandt, a writer, travel advisor, and survivor, After Estrogen exists to name what the world overlooks: the exhaustion, the loss of hormones, the reshaping of womanhood, and the resilience it takes to keep showing up anyway.

We talk about what really happens after estrogen is gone: the fatigue, joint pain, brain fog, the intimacy challenges, the humor, and the ongoing recalibration of self.

Being alive isn’t the same as feeling alive, and we deserve to feel alive again.

We're not done.
